Today, i woke up only to know that my sore throat had worsen and had flu. It was around 945 and i had only slept for 8 hours because i came home late yesterday. I went to see the doctor and asked for MC for not going for live firing yesterday. However, the doctor said that MCs can only be given on the current day and not before or after. What rotten luck! So i decided to get the MC for today as something is better than nothing. In the evening, my parents took my siblings and I to Sakura restaurant at Yio Chu Kang stadium. As there was a discount for dinner, it was indeed full of "Kiasu" Singaporeans. The maximum time for the buffet was one and a half hours, which was more than enough for us to take our time to eat. The food there could be compared to the food served at Shangri-La. There was crisp cereal prawns, hot and spicy crayfish and hot, chicken herbal soup. The desserts included puddings, ice-creams, black forest cakes, chocolate cakes, durian puffs, cocoa, red bean and green tea mochi. All the food tasted marvalous and were simply irresistable. Last thing, if you want to go there, it would be good if you check up your directory first.
Yesterday night, my school had a fund raising dinner at a high class hotel. For one person to dine there, the dinner cost SG$200 or more. Fortunately for some of us and unfortunately for You Liang whose parents had bought 10 tickets with $2000. He invited 9 of us to go with him. The 9 included Yong Jia, Ernie, Terry, Louis, Jethro, Feldman, Edmund, Sean and me. We reached the place at about 6.30pm and it was so packed and full of people. WE were the only big group of Marist there. The rest of the people were mainly adults. Mr Jeremy Wong were so eager to take a group picture of us. I also saw one of my favourite teacher - Mrs Champion at the reception. The dinner started at 8, howver it was worth the wait. The food were Lobster with salad, Shark's Fin, Prawn with Wasabi and the list goes on. During the dinner, there were performance by the school's Chinese Orchestra and Mrs Low Tuck Kwong was singing too. Just before the dinner ended, the video captured Mr Dennis Koh on the screen. He was kind of excited about it and we all laughed (at him and with him). After the dinner, we walked to the bus stop and took 105 to Toa Payoh and Serangoon respectively. You Liang was not full yet so we went to eat Mac which was opened 24/7. After that, the last bus service had ended so we had to take cab home. It was only right that You Liang paid $10 for the taxi fare which cost $16. It was one of the high-class experience we had. (:
Yesterday after school ended, my friends and i went to Grandlink Square to have some fun as it was a celebration for Eugene's birthday. There was a total of 8 of us. On our way there, we met You Liang and we decided to play together. WE played 4 games and it did not matter whether we win or lose because we enjoyed ourselves. After that, around 6pm, Shervin and Wymer had to go home. The remaining 7 of us went to take MRT to AMK hub. Kay, Javier, Kia Kiat and Jerome were there already. Kay's birthday is on 17th July and Eugene's birthday in 2 days later.
After buying tickets for the movie "The Dark Knight", we went in. We saw a familiar Singapore Idol finalist, Paul Twohill, who was watching the same movie as us. It was quite incredible! At first when i saw him, it was a back view, but from his dressing i could tell that it was him. I told Maurice and Jerome but they didn't believe me. It was only when they saw with their own eyes, then they believed me. Hmm. The movie was around 2 hours 15mins but it was worth the SG$9.
After the movie at around 2015, Maurice, You Liang, Eugene and me took cab to Pasir Ris together. On the cab i gave Eugene a deodorant as present. Then Maurice took the cab home and dropped us 3 at Pasir Ris Mrt. We had Mac before going home, only to realise the Mrt service had ended. No choice so Eugene and You Liang had to take cab home to Tampines and Pasir Ris respectively. It was a day for us to remember forever. (:
